We invite your school to take part in our Lego Robotics Competition which will take place in April and May of 2009. The competition is aimed at Year 5 pupils who are logical and enjoy control technology. We would like each school to bring one mixed team of up four pupils. You may wish to consult your Year 5 teacher to choose members of the team.

This competition is free to Gateshead primary schools. We will pay taxi or public transport costs for teams who attend. Heats of the competition will take place between 9.30am and 3pm on one Friday in April or May and the final in July 2009. Winners of the heats will take part in the final competition and have a chance to win a Lego Nxt Robot kit

A member of your school staff, teacher or teaching assistant should accompany pupils to the event. Children will need to bring a packed lunch on the day of the competition. If you are interested please complete the enclosed application form by Friday 6th March 2009. You will receive a confirmation letter within one week of your reply.
